Terms of Service
Effective date: March 20, 2026 · Last updated: March 20, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and DebateTalk AI (“DebateTalk AI”, “we”, “our”, “us”), the company that operates the DebateTalk platform at debatetalk.ai (“the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, do not use the Service.
The Service
DebateTalk provides a multi-model AI debate platform. You submit questions; multiple AI models produce structured responses; a synthesis model combines the outputs into a final answer. The Service is provided for informational and decision-support purposes.
AI outputs are not professional legal, medical, financial, or other regulated advice. Do not rely on them as a substitute for qualified professional counsel.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at legal@debatetalk.ai if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
- Generate content intended to harass, threaten, or harm any person.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract model outputs at scale for commercial purposes.
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or authentication mechanisms.
- Submit content containing personally identifiable information about third parties without their consent.
- Use the Service to develop a directly competing multi-model debate product using our methodology, prompts, or outputs.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.
Plans and billing
The Service is offered on a freemium basis. Free accounts are subject to daily debate limits as described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance.
All purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are governed by Paddle's Refund Policy. Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, all refund requests must be submitted directly to Paddle via the link in your purchase confirmation email or through paddle.net.
Intellectual property
Your content
You retain ownership of the questions you submit. By submitting a question, you grant DebateTalk a limited, non-exclusive license to process it through the debate engine and return results to you.
Output
Subject to compliance with these Terms, you own the debate outputs generated in response to your questions and may use them for any lawful purpose. Note that AI models are probabilistic; similar questions may produce similar outputs for other users.
Our platform
DebateTalk owns all rights in the platform, including the debate protocol, prompt methodology, scoring algorithms, and user interface. Nothing in these Terms transfers any rights to you in our intellectual property.
API and MCP access
API and MCP integration access is provided to eligible plans and is subject to additional rate limits. You may use the API to integrate DebateTalk debates into your own products, provided you do not resell raw API access as a standalone service. You are responsible for keeping API keys confidential and for all usage under your keys.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DEBATETALK AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AND EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN ANY EVENT, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DebateTalk from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Changes to the Service
We may modify or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time. For material changes that reduce core functionality on paid plans, we will provide at least 30 days' notice.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you via email or in-product notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DebateTalk is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for intellectual property or confidentiality violations.
